• Whedon deleted his twitter due to a professional falling out, not death threats.
• the “death threats” thing first appeared on the neogaf forums with no source, photo, or further information
• please add sources to your posts about news stories to prevent the spread of misinformation.
• if you have sourced information correcting this post, i’ll publish that too.

I think death threat was over exaggerating but he has been getting a lot of vitriol over a good, if overstuffed, film.  And the sheer volume of that could probably wear a man down.

Ultimately he probably had a lot of plates spinning in his life and the dogpiling of the angry age of ultron crowd definitely didn’t help.
