We’ve spent an hour discussing and reading about it and we still don’t know what exactly “pudding” means to British people
The explanations on
this post all basically seem to amount to “nobody knows.” I mean I can
wrap my head around it meaning “dessert,” or maybe “mushy things eaten
with a spoon” but there seem to be exceptions of every combination.I mean, just so we’re clear, pudding has ONE definition in America:
It’s flavored, thickened milk. Period. It can come in any flavor but it’s all immediately recognizable, eaten with a spoon or as pie filling.

Honestly I can’t wait until we get the Cursed Child script because I sense high quality meme material. This is what the internet has always been waiting for.
Everything I’ve heard about the Cursed Child is so extra, so over the top glorious I only have one thing to say.

I know it must be a bit of a power rush, holding so many people’s happiness in your hands. I know the pressure to turn out a good extension of the Potter legacy is immense.

You run this franchise into the ground and gloat over the ashes and I will scream in adulation. You deserve it. Harry Potter has catapulted you into fame and I totally understand your need to prove your power over it.
I don’t care what fresh hell you have come up for us (because regardless of quality it will be a hell, just maybe a fun one), it’s worth it.

For people with the observational skills and knowledge it’s easy, but Padme and Orn Free Taa once had to collaborate on a space Power Point on a famine that involved carefully pointing out every lekku marker of malnourishment in holos of settler children so the Senate would understand it.

Cham Syndulla brings back the lean and mean look with his nationalist fervour, and then it’s a bit stylish to have solid well built up lekku, all healthy fat, regularly fed but not overdone.

Aayla Secura giving up rations in a siege situation, because she can handle it a lot better than her men, and her lekku get limp and droopy. All the clones fuss once they’re in safety to make sure she eats enough to get her health back.
For people interested in Alexander Hamilton’s views on slavery in relation to Hamilton the musical, I think these two essays (1,2) do a good job of presenting both sides of the argument, while this blog provides some interesting background knowledge about Hamilton’s roots and reputation . Alexander Hamilton was, at the end of the day, a man with high ambitions which superseded all his other beliefs. He was already being attacked by his enemies for his background and struggling to rise above his beginnings. His willingness to situationally ignore the depravities of slavery in order to further his goals is, like many other things in American history, a terrible thing that we must not ignore.
