New pizza box designed to turn into pot pipe
Burn after eating.
One New York City designer has the answer to munchie-minded smokers everywhere: a new pizza box that doubles as a weed-smoking device.
The box features a small square that rips out and rolls into a weed pipe. The stand in the center of the box — intended to keep the top of the box from touching the top of the pizza — doubles as the bowl part of the pipe.
Nikolas Gregory, the 25-year-old New York City native who heads up Queens-based Nikolas Gregory Studio, came up with the idea while he was eating pizza, he told the Daily News.
Then, he reached out to Push for Pizza with the concept, and the two paired up to make it a reality. Push for Pizza is a pizza-ordering app launched by five New Yorkers in 2014.
The new pipe has been pothead tested and “is definitely safe to use,” Gregory said. “It won’t last 100 years but it will definitely get the job done.”
“The ‘Pizza Pipe’ is an all-in-one product with value to the user both before and after the fact,” according to a press release.
“No longer will one have to search for a pipe before or struggle to remember the telephone number of the pizza parlor after its use.
“Equally important, the pizza is in hand BEFORE the munchies set in, leading to a more relaxed and enjoyable experience without the interminable delay of its delivery of the pain of gnawing hunger.”
Currently, there are no plans for production, but Gregory said that could change based on how well the idea is received by the public.
