This blog is really funny and accurate and since I find the recent GOT scandal confusing I have to ask you this, was the Jaime/Cersei scene really that bad compared to the books? It was uncomfortable but the original scene was dubiously consensual, so much so it left me feeling sick. Cersei was physically resisting until halfway through. Despite bad editing there was some reciprocation in the show scene, factor in the narrative divergence and its not that big of a change. What am am I missing?

Thanks for answering this, it cleared a lot of things up. Upon re-examination I can see how people would have a problem with the show scene, especially the response to the outrage. I still can’t read the  beginning of the book scene as anything but borderline assault but it’s clearly a different can of worms.
